Although it can seem complicated, the process of registering with the PA Department of Health (PA DoH) for your medical marijuana card is surprisingly simple and easy to do completely online. You'll only need a few things before your start:

• Access to a PC Computer with an internet connection, either a desktop or laptop (not a phone or mobile device).

• Your valid Pennsylvania driver's license or state-issued ID (or change of address card if applicable). Your address should be up-to-date with the PA Department of Transportation.

• A valid email address.

• A phone number.

If you don't have an email or phone number, you can make arrangements with a close friend or relative to make use of theirs.

Go to www.medicalmarijuana.pa.gov , and click on "Apply for ID/Access Account", or simply click on the button below. There will be an option to start a new account on the left-hand side called Adult Patient Registration. Click that link.     

You will be prompted to create a username and password. It is important to save this information, as you will need to log into your account to make payments to the Department of Health and to check the status of your card. 

When you have created your account, you will also receive a 6-digit Patient ID number. Write this number down.
